Why my office (almost) went remote

Theater Play in English
Written by Dawn Spring
Directed by Tina Tomulić

23/may/2025 (Friday) 7:00 p.m. at Katakomba pinceszínház.

This dark comedy dives into the chaos of office politics, where workplace drama escalates to shocking (and hilarious) extremes. When a controversial slide in a company presentation leads to an HR investigation, secrets unravel, alliances are tested, and a mysterious death looms large over the team. Packed with sharp wit, eccentric characters, and a touch of absurdity, Why Our Office Almost Went Remote is a satirical take on corporate life, remote work dilemmas, and the lengths people will go to for power and survival in the workplace.

Surprising Expats: Tina Tomulić, Director, Producer & Founder of MIND RESET Theatre Company

MARION MERRICK

“My dream would be to have something like this,” she says, gesturing to the room in which we’re sitting. “Like Jurányi – just in English. A cultural centre, so we could invite different kinds of artists: musicians, painters, professional actors…. I’d also like to see Hungarian plays performed in English. A place where everyone feels at home – both the expat community, and all the Hungarians who want to come and meet us!

“I’m just trying to find those people who share my dream!”
